The Dacia Duster and the Audi RS Q8 are both SUVs. But the similarities end there. The Romanian is indeed a very financially accessible family model, while the German is a very high performance model with an elitist pricing. One has a small 120 horsepower diesel unit, the other a 600 horsepower twin-turbo gasoline V8.
In a straight line, the Duster obviously has no chance against the RS Q8. But the folks at CarWow had fun confronting them in a very special setting, which completely negates the Audi advantage: very muddy terrain.
And necessarily, the Duster equipped with rims and tires more suited to off-roading no longer looks ridiculous at all. The Audi still retains the advantage, aided by the power of its engine and the sophistication of its chassis.
